The main idea behind the Snowell tuning philosophy is minimal wear and more performance, service after service. Snowell's high tech servicing goes easy on your equipment so that it can be repeated often, quickly and efficiently. This means consistent optimum performance from your skis. This is your guarantee for more fun on the slopes.

Renewal

Putting into the ski more than you take out of it is what renewal really means. Damaged surfaces are renewed with nicks and grooves being filled with polyurethane - the same material that the running surface is made of. Our "renewal" method significantly increases the life span of the ski while maintaining steady handling and performance characteristics. Now it is easy to create optimum gliding characteristics in the next steps of the tuning process.

Structure

Proper surface structure is required to achieve optimum gliding properties. Snowell has taken the development of this special technology a step further so that your skis can glide perfectly no matter what the snow conditions. The running surface geometries, or structures, are designed so that they can be matched to every kind of snow, from wet snow to powder snow, etc. The ski is first flattened and the structures are ground in to the ski on our TFT series of machines by stone grinding. No grinding belts are ever used in our high tech tuning process. Our innovative technology not only makes this new method of ski servicing possible, but also simultaneously guarantees low impact ski treatment while working quick and profitably.

Tuning

The steel edges of a ski are exposed to extreme forces. Nicks, grooves, rust and burrs all have a noticeable impact on the way a ski handles. Solving these problems is important but it is not only crucial to eliminate the damage and find the perfect edge angles but the right balance between the tuning of all running surfaces for proper handling. This is what gives the edges the right grip when you need it. Perfect harmony between the base surface and base and side edges is a must. With the TFT series of machines, you can individually set the tuning for various types of skis, conditions, etc and again there is no belt grinding used in our tuning process. The base and side edges are cut and polished at the same time. This refinement means sharper edges, better grip and more safety while on the slopes.

The Final Touch

To ensure optimum functioning of the surface structure and edge tuning that has been ground, the ski is polished smooth along the entire running surface with hard wax rather than hot wax. This polishing also protects the edges from corrosion and nourishes the surface so it maintains its pliancy. All this is done with minimal wear on the skis and in the blink of an eye. This means a longer life for your equipment and less time spent servicing them. A big plus for winter sport fans and all those who want to be one step ahead when it comes to servicing their equipment. Now it is easy to carve a smooth line. -The final touch
